IUBAT organized HR Day 2023

The Placement and Alumni Affairs Office of IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology organized IUBAT HR Day-2023 at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 04, 2023 at the Permanent Campus of the university. The Heads of HR from hundred plus national and multinational organizations participated in the program and they appreciated the recognition of roles of the HR professionals in management development. IUBAT Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdur Rab presided over the program and Prof Selina Nargis, Treasurer of IUBAT, was Special Guest.

Being a pioneering university in the non-government sector of Bangladesh, IUBAT recognizes the role of HR Professionals in capacity building, promoting organizational excellence and thereby improving performance of the economy. This role is hardly recognized elsewhere officially but the university has taken a firm initiative to recognize the roles of the HR Professionals every year through observation of the HR Day. The participants stated that this Day should be celebrated at national and international levels. This is an initiative of the university to incorporate industrial soft skills needs into its educational delivery to produce market ready graduates.

The mission of IUBAT is human resources development and is interested to learn from the HR Professionals the needs and expectations of the employers from the fresh graduates seeking entry level jobs.

 In IUBAT HR Day 2023 top most senior HR professionals will deliver their speech on

current job market trends, including the skills and qualities that employers are seeking in job candidates. And, the importance of collaboration between employers and universities in preparing students for successful careers.

M. Faridur Rahman, Head of HR & Admin, Rupayan City, M. Shabbir Ali, SHRM-SCP Corporate Head of HR Transcom Ltd and, AKM Sharfuddin, Director Placement Office of IUBAT delivered their speech.

The Placement and Alumni Affairs Office coordinated the program. The program was followed by a cultural gala and dinner.
