IUBAT National Career Festival 2020 held

The Placement and Alumni Office of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) organized a Career Festival on 29 February 2020 at the university campus at Uttara Model Town Presented by Mutual Trust Bank Limited. In total seventy of National and Multinational companies took part in this festival. The fest was open to graduates of all higher educational institutions of the country.

IUBAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdur Rab inaugurated the Career Festival in presence of representatives of different organizations and teachers and staff of IUBAT at 10am. Some organizations participating in the IUBAT National Career Festival offered Careers immediately by collecting CV and interviewing the candidates. Some organizations will be recruiting from the headquarters on a priority basis at a later time. The fest organized three seminars on career development for the entry level Career seekers, graduates and numbers of alumnus.

Md Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications, United Nations Development Programme in Bangladesh, Mr. Zaved Parvez, Vice President, Resourcing, Employers Brand and HR Digitalization, Robi Axiata Limited and Mr. Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed, Vice President, BSHRM conducted the three presentation sessions on career development from 12 am to 2.30 Pm.

A Round Table on “Challenges of Employment in Industry 4.0” was held from 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm at the Conference Room of the university. The session led by Prof Dr. Syed Saad Andalib, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Marketing in the Black School of Business at Penn State University were participated by representatives of employers, academic leaders and policy makers. Mr. Masud Khan, Chairman, GSK Bangladesh & Chief Adviser Crown Cement Group, Mr. Nazar E Gilani, CEO, Sharpner, Mr. Tariq Uz Zaman, COO, Danish Multipurpose Farm Ltd., Mr. Khandker Mahbub, Square Pharmaceutical, Ltd., Mr. Jubeyer Hossain, Pran-RFL Group, Mr. Nuruzzaman Faruqui, Banglalink, Mr. Ashish Chakraborty, SSL Wireless(ECAD), Mr. Mohammed Arifuzzaman, MD, Real Capita Group, Mr. Kaiser Hamid, CEO, Assist Management Counsultancy, Mr. Iqbal Bahar Shahid, President, Nijer Bolar Moto Ekta Golpo, Mr. Rajib Hossain, SVP, Mutual Trust Bank Ltd., Mr. MH Anupom Mahmud, IWM, Mr. Anubhab Patro, Business Head, Asia Pacific, Udacity Inc, ad Ms. Laila Naznin, Head, HR & Admin, Star Cineplex took active part in the discussion and positive recommendations emerged from the deliberation..

About 5,500 Career seekers visited the booth of the prospective employers. About 4,000 CV of the Career seekers were collected by the employers.
