IUBAT Celebrates 26th Academic Retreat
International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. As part of the founding celebration, IUBAT organized an Academic Retreat for all faculty members, and officials at BRAC CDM, Rajendrapur, Gazipur, on February 29, 2024.
Themed “Envisioning Our Graduates in Five Years: Charting Their Future Paths,” the Academic Retreat aimed to strategize and plan the trajectory of IUBAT graduates’ academic and professional journeys. Presided over by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, the program commenced with an inaugural ceremony.
During the retreat, IUBAT Treasurer Prof. Selina Nargis led task forces in presenting various academic and professional career paths for students. Each presentation was followed by an open floor discussion, allowing faculty members from different programs to provide valuable feedback, ensuring the comprehensiveness and relevance of the proposed career paths.
Beyond the formal sessions, participants engaged in networking opportunities, enjoyed a communal lunch, and partook in recreational activities such as cricket. The day culminated in a memorable group photo session and a special Doa mahfil arranged by IUBAT.
Established in 1991 under the visionary guidance of eminent educationist Prof. Dr. M Alimullah Miyan, IUBAT holds the distinction of being the first Non-Government University in Bangladesh. With a noble vision to produce graduates from every village in the nation, IUBAT draws students from diverse backgrounds, including over a hundred foreign students from 12 countries across Asia and Africa. Situated within its expansive 20-bigha green campus in Utara, IUBAT offers education under eleven departments, catering to the academic aspirations of its students.
