Vice Chancellor Visits Honghe University, China

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab undertook a visit to Honghe University in Mengzi, Yunnan, China, from December 16 to 18, 2023, to finalize the details of the collaboration between the two universities. This visit follows up on the previous meeting held at IUBAT, where discussions took place with Mr. Hong Bo, Chairman of the Honghe University Council.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor convened a meeting on the Honghe University campus, attended by Mr. Hong Bo, Chairman of the University Council, as well as Deans and Directors from various schools. The meeting served as a platform to exchange information and suggestions regarding modes of cooperation at the school level. This encompassed areas such as student exchange programs for short study visits, coursework, degree programs, and collaborative research initiatives.

Both parties expressed mutual agreement to proceed with the collaboration, leading to the eventual signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaborative effort signifies a significant step towards fostering academic ties and enhancing opportunities for students and researchers from both institutions.
