Vice Chancellor participated in the International Higher Education Conference in Colombo

Prof. Dr. AbdurRab, Vice Chancellor of IUBAT, participated in theInternational Higher Education Conference on Strategies to bridge the gap in higher education intake- South ndBangladesh Experience as a Panelist and participated in the question and answer session. He pointed out that seat capacity in the public universities were limited and Dr.M. AlimullahMiyan, the founder of  IUBAT, took the initiative to bridge the gap in higher education intake by setting up private universities. He reported that at present there are 104 private universities with varying educational quality in Bangladesh but  have enough seat capacity. Reputed academics from SAARC countries and Malaysia and educationists, education administrators, professional institute heads from Sri Lanka attended the conference.  The conference was jointly organized by the CMA, CPM and AMDISA. The conference was inaugurated by the Chairman of the University Grants Commission of  Sri Lanka who was also the Chief Guest of the event.
