IUBAT is the first non-government university founded in 1991 in Bangladesh by Prof Dr M Alimullah Miyan. The Founder declared the university a Green Campus in 2008 with the vision of providing an environment designed for learning with embedded sustainability in higher education. It has come true. In this series of UI GreenMetric World rankings, IUBAT is ranked the second top sustainable green campus in Bangladesh.
