iTech Expo-IUBAT 2022

The biggest tech event of Bangladesh ‘iTechExpo IUBAT 2022’ has been organized at the IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology campus on November 22-23, 2022. Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and IUBAT Robotics Club (IRC) jointly organized the event which was presented by ASTONAFA Engineering Ltd. and RELIANT Energy and Safety Technology Ltd. More than 500 students from over 40 educational institutions including public and private universities, colleges, and polytechnics attended the event. There were a total of six competitive segments organized including the International Robowar Bangladesh Zonal, Soccer Bot Championship, Line Follower Challenge, Robo-Racing Championships, and Project Exhibition. The winners of the segments received a total of 165,000 BDT prize money.

The final rounds and the closing ceremony were held on November 23, 2022, Wednesday, at 03.00 PM at IUBAT Open Auditorium. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT presided over the prize-giving ceremony. At the event, Prof Dr. Md Anwarul Abedin and Prof Dr. Mohammad Jakir Hossain from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Lt. Colonel Rahat Newaz- Commander, BNCC Ramna regiment were present as special guests. Also, Prof Md Lutfar Rahman, Registrar, Brig Gen (Retd) Dr. Md Zahid Hossain, Exam controller of IUBAT were present as the speakers of the event. Dean of CEAT Prof. D. Md Monirul Islam was the president of the closing ceremony. The opening speech was delivered by the head of the EEE department Dr. Ratan Kumar Nandi and the closing speech was delivered by Engineer Md. Abul Bashar. Moreover, the overall supervision of the program was rendered by Md. Kamruzzaman, the President of IUBAT Robotics Club.
