Sports Tourism for Positive Country Branding

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) of IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology has organized a Webinar on “Sports Tourism for Positive Country Branding” on 11^th February 2022 (Friday) at 07:30 pm through zoom virtual platform. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Webinar was organized as part of the observance of the month-long celebration of the 31^st Foundation Day of IUBAT.

Mr. Dr. Anupam Hossain, Former Secretary, Standing Committee on Sports Tourism of FBCCI & NSC and National Sports Commentator and Presenter was the Webinar Speaker. He thoroughly discussed and shared his scholastic view on sports tourism for positive country branding. Students and researchers from home and abroad joined the webinar.

The Chief Guest of the webinar Prof Dr Abdur Rab reckoned that it is high time to take strategic initiative for country branding taking sports tourism as a sustainable development tool. The Dean, Chair, Coordinator, and the faculty members of the CTHM also shared their thoughts on Sports Tourism as it is a key driver in tourism development and country branding. Mohammad Abu Horaira, Sports Coordinator and Associate Professor of CTHM was the moderator of the webinar.
