50 Years Experiences of Transformation of Bangladesh Economy and Globalization

Department of Economics, IUBAT organized an e-seminar on: 50 Years Experiences of Transformation of Bangladesh Economy and Globalization and Sustainable Development: A Study on Ship Breaking Industry in Bangladesh on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10:00AM it is a part of 31^st Foundation Day Celebration at IUBAT.  Prof Dr Abdur Rab VC IUBAT was present as the chief guest at the seminar.

Both the papers “Experiences of Transformation of Bangladesh: An Analytical Exercise by Dr Bilkis Raihana” and “Globalization and Sustainable Development: A Study on Ship-Breaking Industry in Bangladesh by Mr. Chandan Kumar Sarkar”. Assistant Professors of the Economics Department were acclaimed by the students and faculty members alike.

The Chief Guest Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor, IUBAT brought into light the importance of organizing such important seminars for students. Respected Pro Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT, Prof. Dr. Hamida Akter Begum enlightened the program with her graceful presence. Prof. Muhammad Shahjahan, Chair of the Economics Department warmly welcomed all the participants.

After completion of each paper presentation, there was a question-and-answer session. The floor was open for all. Some of the audiences of this seminar took the floor and enlightened themselves by asking questions to the presenters and sharing their views.

The program ended with a warm thank-you-note delivered by Ms. Tasneem Jahan Tumpa, Lecturer, Department of Economics, IUBAT. She cordially expressed her gratitude towards the guests, presenters, audiences, and others associated with organizing this seminar.
