Miyan Publication Reward 2021

Miyan Research Institute of the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology,IUBAT, organized this year’s Miyan Publication Reward Ceremony onSaturday, February 13, 2021 at the campus of the university.The  Institute came into being in 2019 as an integral part of IUBAT with the objective of promoting research and creating a research culture. The Institute provides research grants and reward publications. The objective of the Publication Reward System is to encourage facultymembers to engage in researchand scholarly writingso that they can publish  in the reputed peer reviewed and  the indexed journals.Faculty members of the university are annually rewarded for their outstanding publication works.This year, 141 scholars of the university have been rewarded ceremonially. They have received cash awards and certificates.

In his presidential address Dr. AbdurRab,Vice-Chancellor, mentioned that research, publication and independent thought have been embedded in the academic culture of IUBAT.He observed that critical thoughts and analyses embodied in the researches and publicationswould be a guiding resource for the country’s policy makers to address visible and hidden obstacles in relevant areas of socio-economic problems.Since inception, the IUBAT has been pursuingnew dimensions and global outlook in creation and dissemination of knowledge through research. This is helping  capacity development of students so that the new graduates could face global challenges at home and abroad.

In the program,welcome address was delivered by the Prof DrAbulKhair, Chair, Miyan Research Institute. Special guests Prof Dr Hamida Akhtar Begum, and Director Administration Prof Selina Nargisalso spoke. Few from the recipients of awards also spoke thanking the University for recognizing their research efforts. DrSajalSaha,Associate Professor of Mathematics and Director of Miyan Research Institute offered the vote of thanks.At the end of the program,participants have taken part in a photo session with the dignitaries of the ceremony.
