An industrial tour to any industrial area is the best motivation for any beginner engineer in building up their carrier. Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DEEE) of IUBAT organized a day long freshmen industrial visit at Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Limited for the students of the semester Spring-2020 on 8th February 2020. A good number of participants including students, faculties and AOs enjoyed this tour. During the visit students received a glimpse of power and automation engineering activities like how automation works in industries and how electricity transfers to the consumers, which is associated to the Electrical and Electronic Engineering profession. They also gathered knowledge about different types of distribution and power transformer, switchgear and control panel like MCC Panel, PFI panel, distribution panel, Generator synchronizing panesl, LT switchgear panel, MV switchgear panel and so on, different kinds of generator and engine control accessories, various types of relays (ABB, Siemens, and General Electric), different circuit breakers, and PLC and Instrumentation accessories. The students frequently asked many questions to reverie’s engineers and engineers answered the questions very politely. Then the students took a group photo with the engineers of reverie. At the end of the visit Professor Dr. Bishwajit Saha, Coordinator, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering thanked them for giving their valuable time and awesome hospitality. The visit inspired the students towards their career on EEE discipline.
